Darwinism is a religion not science
Life was either created by God or evolved from non-living matter by accident. There is no third choice. If science can prove life cannot spontaneously evolve from non-living matter, it can be establish God created life. Borel's law of mathematical probability indicates there have not been enough possible events in the universe for the simplest life form to create itself randomly and come alive. The law of biogenesis states that life comes from life. Living things reproduce themselves, and the resulting offspring resemble their parents, or are reproduced in kind. (Genesis 1:11,24)
According to neo-Darwinism, random mutations could accidentally create new species over time, and natural selection could eliminate the unfit ones, leaving the more evolved species. However, genes seem to be built so as to allow changes to occur within certain narrow limits, and to prevent those limits from being crossed. Mutations seem unable to breed replications of themselves, and cannot produce entirely new forms of life. Mutations are copying errors and are not the path to complex systems. There are no known examples of a mutation adding complexity. Molecular biology has established a cell is no longer merely material and energy shaped by chance. Living cells are material and energy shaped by design information or knowledge. If atheistic materialism is eliminated, the law of the excluded middle states there is a creator to whom man is accountable.
Evolution is not a scientific hypothesis, because it can not be tested. It is a religion. Webster's dictionary defines religion as, "A cause, a principle, or an activity pursued with zeal or conscientious devotion". Atheists have made evolution a religion of devotion, because without evolution, they must accept a God of creation to whom they are accountable. Materialistic evolution is a non starter because it can not explain its own existence. It is based upon the metaphysical belief the immaterial does not exist, which is a non sequiter.
Darwinian evolution is an unscientific religion founded by a dead man. Christianity is based upon observable evidence of design in creation, and Jesus, who left an empty grave to give hope and purpose to this life, and life in eternity. Atheistic material evolution gives no hope our purpose to life. Without God, truth has no meaning. Reality based upon material or energy shaped by chance, without God given absolutes, is statistically certain to end up in tyranny, and moral decay. Christianity answers the most important question known to man, "What does God require? To do justly, and love mercy, and to walk humbly with God" (Micah 6:8)
