Why is Trump a threat to the establishment?

Traditionally international bankers and the corporate establishment control both the Republican and Democratic parties in presidential elections through control of the media and financial backing. Trump's presidential win is a threat to the establishment because he was successful largely without their assistance.

President-elect Donald Trump was opposed by much of the mainstream media, the Democrat political machine and the majority of the Republican establishment. However, with the use of inexpensive social media and political rallies, he presented his message directly to people in Mid America and the rust belt.

Against the odds, he successfully won the majority vote of the electoral collage. Trump's campaign spent approximately $240 million, compared to $450 million spent by Hillary Clinton, $630 million spend by Barack Obama, and $360 million by Mitt Romney in 2012. Much of Trump money was self funded, rather than relying on international bankers and the corporate establishment.

Trump received almost the same number of votes Romany received, approximately 61 million. However, Hillary Clinton failed to get the votes Barak Obama received in 2012. Hillary received 65% of the Latino vote compared to 71% for Obama. Hillary received 88% of the black vote while Obama received 93%. Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump both ran negative campaigns. However, Trump did lay out a plan to bring manufacturing jobs back to the rust belt in the Midwest. This allowed him to carry Wisconsin, Michigan, and Pennsylvania and obtain a blue collar coalition similar to Reagan in the 1980's.

President-elect Trump is a threat to the left wing establishment because as President he will be able to fill Antonin Scalia's vacancy on the Supreme Court. In addition Ruth Bader Ginsburg in 83, Anthony Kennedy is 80, and Stephen Breyer in 78. If President Trump is able to appoint as many as four conservatives on the Supreme Court he is capable halting the march of progressivism through American public schools and society in general.

President Trump campaigned as a law an order candidate, and promised to seal America's boarders. This is a threat to corporate America and the Republican establishment, which prefer open boarders and cheap labor from illegal aliens. The Democrat establishment want open boarders because the children of illegal aliens often grow up to be vote Democrat. Trump is a threat to the establishments open boarder policy.

Donald Trump is a threat to the international bankers and the corporate establishments control of the Federal Reserve. The Federal Reserve chairwoman, Democrat Janet Yellen, is bracing to see whether victorious Donald Trump will overhaul the central bank. Mr. Trump can fill a majority of the Fed's seven-member board with his own nominees over the next 18 months, including replacing ms. Yellen in February 2018. Many of Mr. Trump's advisers believe the Fed has little power to increase economic activity beyond Wall Street, and they warn the Fed is encouraging excessive speculation with low interest rates. David Malpass, who is leading Mr. Trump's economic transition team believes the Fed has too much discretionary power and should use the Taylor Rule to set Fed Policy by a formula.

Mr. Trump has promised tax cuts and increased spending on infrastructure and the military, which could provide a large dose of fiscal stimulus. If the economy starts growing quickly, it would be easier for the Fed to raise rates.  Trump has stated in interviews he prefers bringing back the gold standard, but believes it would be difficult to obtain congressional approval, and such a reform is not on his list of priorities. His opposition to cheap money is a threat to the banking and corporate establishment.

Donald Trump is interviewing charter school activists Michelle Rhee and Betsy DeVos as candidates for secretary of Education. This is a threat to the National Education Association (NEA) which receives $340 million in dues from public school teachers and administrators. The NEA establishment is controlled by left wing progressives who are threatened by Mr. Trump interest in charter school, home schooling and school vouchers.

If parents of school children were given vouchers by school districts, there could be a mass exodus from public schools. Private schools and charter schools often offer superior education at a fraction of the cost. This is an extreme threat to the NEA teachers union.
